Welland Canal Bridge Status app
I built this simple web app in 2014 to quickly and easily check when Welland Canal bridges are unavailable near me. It’s been running continuously since then, and has saved me (and I hope others) from getting stuck behind a raised bridge countless times.
In 2026 the Seaway (finally) released their own mobile app, and it’s not bad, actually. But this one still runs too, at least for the time being, as I still find it more useful — and it is faster.
